Does anyone know if they make different thickness retainers for 1350 series u-joints? I can't get the retainers in my Mark Williams yoke. Mine measure a consistant .058" thick and I need at least .010 less total (so about .005" thinner retainer) just to get them in. They were tight before on my old shaft, but these are a no go on this one. Any ideas?

Have you talked to MW about your issue? I'm sure they
should have what you need

Haven't talked with anyone....just discovered it. I might try calling them today.

The surface grinder is your friend. If all you need is .005, I'd just wack that off of the clips if you have access to a grinder. Car looks awesome by the way

Thanks. This is the path I was going down if there were not thinner clips available.

How wide are the grooves in the new yoke and how far apart are they BTW, the grooves really need to be centered in the yoke so the driveshaft does not wiggle or shake

Got it together.....just needed a little more persuasion.

I did find out something interesting though....I almost have to have the rear end out of the car to get the driveshaft in. This would have been nice to know before putting it in.

I forgot to ask which way you where trying to install the keepers, sharp side in or sharp side out, it makes a difference if there is a difference on your retainers. Round side out may pop out

I inspected them pretty close and couldn't see a difference on either edge. They are snug to say the least.
