I need to know the proper procedure for adjusting the bands on a stock 727.

I've done it before but it's been so long that I need a refresher course

Thanks, Greg

w the oddball 8 point socket made for this & an inch/lb torque wrench torque each band to 72 inch lbs then back off the specified # of turns (usually between 2-2&1/2 or so) or w pan off get 5/16" clearance on each lever or there's an adjustment procedure that involves tightening one band until the driveshaft will turn free one way then adj the other band until the shaft will turn free the other way (I have it wrote down) but do not know which is the BEST
