Anonymous OP Unregistered A	Has anyone modified an 8.25" axle case with 2.45 gears to accept a larger ring gear (2.94+)? I've heard it can be done, but I'd like to hear some firsthand pointers before I go nuts with a grinder.

I think only the differential - the part the ring gear bolts to - needs to be swapped out. A sure grip diff for an 8.25 is probalby cheap enough to not worry about finding a spacer ring, at least in my book it would be.
