Hi all,
Looked on all my wiring diagrams and can't find any cruise control wiring. I need to know where the white wire goes. The other wires (3) go out to the cruise unit under the hood.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The only white wire is one from the column switch.

Sorry, have another question. Do you think the the blue wire that goes through the stop light and speed brake switch has a normally closed contact and when you push on the brake it opens the circuit?

Are you using a four-wire brake switch?

Hey Casey. I suspect I only have a two wire switch. I have access to an old Dodge truck with cruise that would probably have the right switch. The wire colors match mine exactly on it's cruise.
I was just wondering how the circuit works.

Ok, just wanted to make sure for when you got that far and had to plug the two cruise stalk wires in the switch. FWIW, I bough t anew one from CarQuest a few years back for about $10.00

To answer your question, I think it's the opposite- I think the brake switch closes when depressed, completing the circuit.

Cool Casey, I am glad you let me know who carries the switches. I think I will get the wiring out of the truck and get a new switch from CarQuest.

brake switch- is open all time
cruise switch- is closed all time.
