We are getting ready to build the headers for are turboed hemi in a duster and have a question. Instead of waiting for the hemi block i want to use an old 440 block, is there any holes that would line up to place the head in approximately the right spot? The dowel pins seem to line up but im not sure this places the head correctly. Theres not much margin for error in the header to steering column area. Thanks

I believe the only difference is the top hole that uses the stud in the head. Fel Pro makes a gasket that fits both the wedge and hemi with the difference being an elongated top hole to accomodate the two fastener locations.

I done the same thing. My block was at the machine shop, and I wanted to mock up for engine placement and header clearance.
Only problem with the 440 block using Hemi heads. The way the header hugs the block the ears on the 440 block must be removed.
I took a old cracked block, and used a thin .040 cut off wheel on my Metabo grinder....Problem solved in about 5 minutes.
