Hello, whats the best way to separate the lower ball joint from the LCA. I bought the tool from mancini and it didnt work at all. I turned it as much as I could even with a breaker bar and it didnt pop them loose. I think I started stripping the threads in the tool. Is there an easier way to do this. Thanks in advance.

Usually that IS the easier way is using their tool. Are you reusing the ball joint, or replacing it? Another good alternative if you have a decent air compressor is a phenumatic air chisel with the pickel fork end. That usually makes short work of it.

I was able to get mine out with a pickle fork. If that doesn't work, I would put the nut back on, support the LCA, then hit it with a 3lb hammer.

Mr. Pickle fork meet Mr. Ball joint, Mr. Three pound hammer, meet Mr. Pickle fork.

Brut force is needed here. Replacement boots are available

Smack [with a BFH] the part of the LCA through which the tapered stud passes.

It's what every [clever] flat-rater does.

Down to just a blue car now.

I tried the pickle fork I have. But it wasn't thick enough as I could pound it all the way without it popping the ball joint free.

Lossen the nut, but do not remove the nut from the ball joint. Have a buddy hold a BF hammer on one side of the cast section where the ball joint tappered section passes thru. You hit the other side of the cast section with BF hammer. Should separate with about 3 blows of the BFH.

Make sure to use some hearing protection if you go the BFH or Pickel Ford Air Chiesel route. Not cool, but smart.
