I thought maybe it my little dirty secret that I use the mp p4120094 head gaskets.

That was until I used my last set this past weekend and as of two days ago, summit, and jegs aer still about 2 weeks out from shipping them and the chrysler dealership showed -81 sets.

I found one gasket in colorado, but it was on hold, bit I did manage to get chicago connections last set and one set from a shop in ky.

So who else is using these and why...Im thinking it cause they help get the right quench and comp on alot of small block strokers maybe????

MP p4120094 ????

It's a good gasket. Cheap, composite and thin. Usually composite gaskets are thicker around .040 and up, not around .025 or so like the MP gaskets. And you want to use composite gaskets if you're running aluminum heads. If your piston ends up being .01-.02 in the hole, you can use a set of these gaskets, slap on some closed chamber heads and have an engine with good quench without deck milling.

Don't know about the MP ones, but in another post here the Mr. Gasket thin gaskets seem to be out there and appear to be the same ones.

I looked for them also mr g in the thin form, they seem to be out of stock untill the end week of june.

They are about 1/3 more then the mopar set. Although I didnt see any as thin as the mopars, probably listed though.

It just struck me funny as most the parts I need in the here and now world most others need.

But I lucked up and found two sets.

They are good for quench, the only ones that make my motor right and keeps my current pushrod setup right, also good on al heads without leaving the groove ring marks. And as mentioned good on std deck height blocks, my blocks are old but unused no vin stamped blocks that have never been decked so im about .008 in the hole. Milled eddys.

Havent know of the chicago connection shop but for a few weeks, but they seem to stock alot of things others are out of, so far 2 for 2, my tti-s and now the head gaskets...nice folks to deal with it seems.

Been using them for years.
