With my BG 400 leaking I went to the O Ring ad on racing junk to check the price on the kit and noticed it says it also repairs MagnaFuel pumps.

Anyone try the MagnaFuel repair kit to fix their BG pump?

The problem I'm having is the seal for the motor shaft is leaking.

Lots of people on Yellowbullet talking about using MagnaFuel seals to repair their BG stuff since BG doesn't make a repair kit.

I do actually

2 on the wall and one in the car

Nice to know the MF will work. Twice the price of the RJ ones but at least those I can get the same day. We'll see how long it takes to get the RJ seals but at least it looks like I'll still be able to make the spring warm up

I order my repair kit from the guy on Racing Junk. He shipped it out the same day, I received it about 2 days later. You will get a couple different seals and o rings in the kit. My pump was also leaking around the shaft and the new seal fixed it up.

Thanks for that. We were just talking about if they would get here soon enough. Sounds like he doesn't mess around

Yes the mana fuel and bg pumps take the same seals. Here is some info on several that I have repaired. You can buy the bearings and seals from any industrial company that sells these item. The seals are like 3.00 for 10 and the bearings are about 3.00 each. I can reseal and rebearing most pumps for 10.00. Here are some numbers.

Magna fuel Pump

NOK CU0034DO SEAL
JAPAN 629RS 1JK BOTTOM BRG.
THAILAND 608S NMB TOP BRG.

Barry Grant Pumps

Pump number 1
NOK CU0034DO SEAL
HAD R1-1438S BEARINGS
WE WERE SOLD BRGS. CHINA 9R6 CW

Pump Number 2
NOK CU0034DO SEAL
NTZ OR NT2 608LU BEARINGS TOP AND BOTTOM

Pump number 3
NOK CU0034DO SEAL
HAD R1-1438S BEARINGS

After a little more diggin I'm starting to wonder if my mounting it horizontally is part of the problem.

I saw this thread and figured it was OK but know I'm thinking perhaps the BG doesn't like it.

Anyone mounted a BG horizontaly and not had a problem?
