Does anyone know where I can get new parts for the 1971 b-body front brake calipers? I managed to find new pins, but I still need the springs and clips that hold everything in place. Does anyone have a source for these parts?
Much appreciated & thank you.
Jim
Which pins did you get? Did you get new rubber bushings. If they are the pins with the 1/2 socket, those don't take retaining clips. And you can leave out the anti rattle spring too.
The OE style 3/8" socket pins and retaining clips are repro'd by Bill Rollik. Maybe other carry them as well. He sells on ebay IIRC. Or google him.

So far I haven't bought the pins, I just located them on Kragen's auto web site.
I just spoke with Bill and he seemed to have all the original style parts, but they were fairly expensive. I'm sure they're worth it for those wanting a 100% original car.
Is there any difference, functionally, between the 3/8 and the 1/2? I mean, will one fit better or work better than the other? I just care about having my brakes work as opposed to using all original parts.
Thanks.
Jim

You can get them from Napa or Napa Online . I had to ask in the store to find some for mine. The clips are just anti-rattle clips. There is no harm leaving them off. I left them off. You may be able to get the clips from Kragen or Auto Zone if you go into the store and ask.
