I'm putting ladder bars on my street strip car and want to know what would be better panhard or a diagonal bar?

They both have problems... a panhard bar give more
side movement and the diagonal link is low... but I
ran a diagonal on one of my street cars and it was
ok... I did bend it when I lost control and went over
a curb... on my currant street rod I put in a diagonal link
EDIT
you could also use a ... double bar unit(brain fart)
I cant remember the name... thats the best there is
Watts Link

No a wish bone is completely different... a watts link
is mounted to the back of the diff and uses 2 rods
running laterally with a ball socket on each bar
(could be a heim joint)... a wish bone uses a slider
with a V type bar set up

In your humble opinion which would you consider the better of the two?

They both have a place.... for a race car = wishbone or diagonal
for the street = watts link and when I say race I'm
talking drag racing.... on a road racer I would use
a watts or panhard....... just my humble opinion

If it's a street/strip tubbed car go with a diagonal. If you're really concerned about bending it, pick one up at a 4x4 shop. They'll have HUGE ones that will more than handle any cornering you could do in a tubbed car.

The watts link is a trick set up, but extreme over kill for most of us. It's more of a chip foose pro-touring thing if you ask me.

The wish bone type of set up keeps the rear end planted straight, but leaves little room for exhaust.

Panhard bar is preferred for the street cars from what I've read. I decided against this one for lack of space. Once you sandwich a dana60 between the frame rails, placing a bar on top of the rear end won't look like much fun.

I used the diagonal link on my street strip car(10:34 at 128.6MPH), five years on it now
