Just received a rear deck filler panel and rear window repair panels from AMD.Heavy guage metal.Good thick steel-but the stamping leaves something to be desired. The panel has ripples alomg the two ends where it meets the 1/4 panels, and all the edges look too "soft".The trunk gutter stampings all look rounded instead of crisp bends too.
The window patch panels are just that-patch panels.wavy, and made to bridge right over the deck filler panel instead of a proper flange.
Have to say I was expecting nicer quality from AMD,especially considering these parts are available from other companies too.I was hoping they would make the top quality stuff that others don't.
I have not fit the deck panel yet,so it might work just fine, but the wavy ends mean some work will be needed.

Nothing like good ole American car parts stamped out with the famous $ 200.00 Chinese dies, seems like the best guys don't even give a dam anymore.
Instuctions should read; with a (little)........
and... those panels should just slip right into place

Later, BUZZ

I am assuming 70 B-Body? I haven't seen this problem with other parts from them, please make sure you tell us EXACTLY what year and car you are using them for!

The funny thing about science is that if you change one miniscule parameter you change the entire outcome to the way you want it.

Can you post a pic of the parts you bought?

Have you contacted AMD about this issue? They can't fix problems they don't know about. No complaining means no problems.

i don't think a 70 is available yet and if it is he got TEST pieces and SHOULD be telling AMD about it not like a little girl on the internet

The panels are for a 68-70 B body.Going on a 70 Coronet. The flaws are obvious,so they know.Once again JohnRR you find a way to turn all this negative.I was simply sharing info about new parts available.Yes,AMD has been informed.I still look forward to their new parts and I am not knocking the company or their efforts to produce parts we all need.

I just installed an AMD Shaker hood on my Challenger and I'm very happy, it needs minor tweaking but IMO for the money it's an awesome product that they offer.
