does any one know do i need to run a spacer above my filter with a deep sump trans pan

Yes .... and the thickness of that spacer depends on the depth of the pan. And IF POSSIBLE .. get a cast pan. It is far less prone to leaking ..and it stiffens the case up.

ok i took the deep sump pan off of another trans and it had a spacer. but it had a gasket between the filter and the spacer is that right or should it be between the trans and spacer
