guy told me to put vaseline on my challenger dash and put it out in the sun??? others have suggested mink oil to tire dressing...what have you guys used and or recommend? thanks in advance

I don't think I would use a petroluem based product on a petroluem based product unless
I wanted to soften it up. It could turn to goo
over a period of time in the sun.

yeh thats what i was thinking,,bsides amorall and son of a gun,,,,what else r ppl using to keep dash nice..

Actually, I usually just wipe them down with a baby butt wipe. Does not attract dust or make it slippy, cleans it nice. Great for tons of stuff.

Conventional wisdom seems to be that once it has lost the plasticisers (which happens over the course of time) nothing can put them back - so if correct that would include vaseline.

I looked into this and ended up using 303 protectant, a lot of people swear by this - and swear AT Armorall
Google up 303 and check their website out, it is all explained there....

I agree, I love this stuff, not oily to the touch and repells dust.
