ScottSmith_Harms OP Mr Wizzard Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 42,714 Spokane Washington	A friend of mine is calling me asking how to reassemble his rocker gear (stock 1970 non T/A 340). I've never used stock parts before so I don't have a clue. He is trying to determine how the rocker shafts and arms are supposed to go together, in reading about them they call out "left & right" rockers. Can anyone list a correct sequence to identify and assemble them so that he can get it right the first time?

cheapstreetdustr master Joined: Feb 2004 Posts: 6,257 acworth / N. georgia - south e...	the shafts have to go on the right side and right direction.. youll notice nothces in the ends of the shaft. the pass right side the mark end goes rear ward R/R ..remember this..like road runner... the drivers side is opposite...so the knotched end of the shaft goes forward.. all exhausts are straight.. intakes offset... exhaust,intake,intake,exhaust,exhaust intake,intake exhaust. chepast 365" Iron J heads,,3480lbs best 1.39 60ft on SS springs.10.54,124 mph ...6.67 1/8th et.average 60fts 1.46 w/ small cam &.063 no2 pill tagged & insured [image][/image]

On a Stock NON TA 340... shaft have a notch...that goes down and towards YOUR Left as you stand along side the engine.. driver side...notch down and toward front of car.. passender side..notch down and towards firewall.. stock non adjustable rockers have a left and right rockers..left and right referr to each cylinder ..you should see a LT and RT stamped into the rocker..
