My '71 Charger came with a 400 which was not worth repairing and is being replaced by a 440.

What are the 'ears' called that connect the engine block to the motor mount? The ones that were on the 400 do not line up with holes on the 440. Where can I order them from?

Something is not right. The mounts from the 400 should be the same...

They should be the same. Check and see if you have them on the wrong side. There is a left and a right. As far as i know all b and rb motors had the same mount brackets

DOH! I did have them on the wrong side. The thing that got me confused were the bottom holes on the connectors.

On the left connector both of the top holes line up with the top tab on the block and both of the bottom holes line up with the lower tab on the block.

On the right connector both of the top holes line up with the top tab on the block. However only one hole lines up with the bottom tab. The lower hole on the back side of the connector is about 1/2 inch too high.
