Okay, Scott K. came over the other day to install my sprinkler system(great job BTW!!) and he checked out my cuda and low and behold" the distributor was loose causing a timing issue. After some tuning we got her back to normal, maybe better! It took about two or three full turns on the bolt to tighten her up. Would engine vibration make it this loose? I may increase the jets, to see if I can improve things more.

Thx for all the insight, 273HYPO

Keep an eye on that loose dist bolt. I had a similar problem too. My dist lock down bolt had too long of a smooth shank. When I tightened down the lock down bracket, the bolt was tight against the shank of the bolt, but the bracket was loose enough to move. So I just found a fully threaded bolt and retightened it.
Congrats on finding that!
