I saw these pictures in the latest edition of Hemmings Muscle Machines.
If I knew what these wheels were called, I could actually start looking for a set...
Any ideas?

To me they look exactly like a wheel off of a 1960's vintage HotWheels!
(And that's exactly why I want them!)

Can't help with those but Fenton Sharks really trip my trigger!

I think they look kinda like the Hotwheels wheels as well.

I finally found out what these wheels are!
They are a Radir wheel, offered for sale at select performance dealerships such as Motion. The ones I've found online have a GM bolt pattern only, which is no good for my Mopar.

This is a cropped pic taken from a Hot Rod photospread where they lay out all the new speed equipment at a dragstrip and take pics. I will see if I can find it, but I don't recall much info about the wheels being mentioned.

If you really want to run the wheels, why not just redrill the axles/hub on the car? (assuming you did not want to redrill/insert the wheels for what ever reason)

There was a "KIT" offered one year in the mid 60s for the Barracuda. It included a lot of body bolt on pieces and IIRC it included those Radir wheels. I have an article around somewhere about it. Always thought they were pretty neat looking wheel. Def. different.

I don't see where the wheels in the first two pics look anything like Radar or Radir Wheels. They look more like the Keystones in RO51's and Pink's posts.
A friend on mine's older brother had a set of these Keystones on his 327/350, 4spd, '66 Chevy Deuce SS. I never had seen another set till this thread. The set I saw didn't have a dome cap, they had a flat cap the made the wheel look like it didn't have a center hole, the green Chevelle in the second pic appears to have the same type cap.

This is the wheel in the first picture, yes a Radir (not Rader). These wheels are no longer in production.
I could get a set of adapters, yes, but so far I haven't found a set of these wheels for sale anywhere!!!

That's the Barris car, there's still a couple/few still out there. I'll post on the BOG and seeif anyone has the article talking about them. Barris used Radir's on a lot of his cars including the Batmobile.

The OP's wheel is not a Radir. First of all, Radirs weren't being made when that picture was taken. They are a relatively new company.
Secondly, look at the rim between the spokes. Definitely different.

The 15 x 4s were for skinny front tires for drag racing but you already knew that.

If I looked through all my old magazines I would probably find them but I choose not to do that.

I had always thought "Radir" was the correct and original wheel company name, and "Rader" was an incorrect spelling, but the original Batmobile ran Rader wheels and I just Googled this interview with the founder of Rader Wheels, Richard Rader:

http://www.1966batmobile.com/rader.htm

From the article:

"Rader only made two one piece cast aluminum wheels. One was a cast Magnesium dragster wheel 16X13 (Superlite Rader) and a one piece cast aluminum car wheel 14X6."

treed .... I also found & was going to post the Von Rader interview.

Here's a vintage RADER ad with a wheel (one piece) similar to the Keystone looking "front runner" wheel above.
