How much amperage can the stock starter relay handle ?
My car is getting the painless harness installed with several relays being put into the system(headlights, taillights, fuel, stereo system, wipers) I would like to pull power for them from a central source and the relay is nicely located. If it can't handle the draw, are there any other higher amp starter relays that I can use in the place of the stock unit ?

You can hook as much stuff as you want to the threaded stud. It`s the feed from the battery and the relay won`t care what`s on it.

The stud itself could probably survive a direct hit lightening strike.
Nice thing is...it's long enough to attach all kinds of extras.
I wouldn't worry about it.

not 100% sure- but the starter relay thats on the firewall/fender has contacts for around 40-50 amps. so a Bosch 40 amp realy could do it- but if was me and I had to change it out to a newer one I would use two 40 amp Bosch relays in Parallel to do the job and not burn one out all the time!
