I get about a second hesitation on full throttle,
then it goes like crazy. Have a holley 3310 with standard spring in the secondaries. My guess is its
pump shot, would this be correct? Runs good and
strong other than the hesitation. Seems to pull hard
well into 6000+ rpm.

pump shot comes into play when you transition form idle to the main system. You don't have an accelerator pump on the secondary side of a vacuum sec. carb. You might have a miss due to an ignition prob.

It's not a miss. It runs good, just that hesitation.
It happens from cruise to full pedal. I will look at
a different pump cam. It doesnt happen from say 3000 rpm up.

Hesitations are ususally caused by too air not too much fuel. If your timing is good, then try a larger squirter. What squirter cam are you using? Pink in the first hole? Another trick to isolate the problem is the unhook the arm to the secondary throttle blades. This will in effect, eliminate the secondary side of the carb. Try a full pedal launch and see if it bogs. If it still does, then the problem is in the front of the carb. If it doesn't bog, then the problem is in the secondary side.

Try a bigger squirter, or drill yours out.

Pump cams won't do anything to help a hesitation when you mash the go pedal to the floor, unless you have no cam to begin with.

What will happen is the cam will go to max lift, force the pump lever over and the overload spring that touches the next lever will compress until the fuel discarge catches up to the spring.

A different ramp cam won't matter when you go instant on with the gas, and a different amount of lift will only change the point where the fuel discharge catches up to the overload spring, but by that time you hesitated already.

Both good advise. I need to make sure the pump is adjusted correctly, then I will check pump nozzle size. I can also disconnect the secondaries and
give that a try. The guy I bought this from decided you didn't need a PCV valve and had the fuel pressure regulated at 9 PSI. Talk about running rich. So now I added the PCV valve and breather and
rebuilt the carb and adjusted the pressure. Runs really good except for the hesitation.
