And they are not A12 specific.

I guess I'll have to call them to see if they have the correct coil wire available. Badalson doesnt have a specific a12 coil wire listed either though.

Comes with both coil wires, for either a 4 barrel and six pack car.

The wires that I bought (date coded crap) from them only lasted me two seasons and they were arching all over the place. Absolute garbage!
Have they improved them? I doubt it!

I started out with the reproduction wires with all the markings and date codes. Ended up with the Firecore wires that are made to replicate the originals. There aren't any markings but at least the wires are black, black cap boots with a mix of 90 degree and straight, and orange plug boots. http://www.customwiresets.com/
No one ever complained about my non original wires.

Ok, Im gonna make some calls and see what I can do. Thanks for all the help everybody.

BTW Steve, did you see the Badalson referance resto A12 engine in mopar action? The coil wire boot on the distributor cap is red. How much you bet that the wire set he sells comes with a black boot on the dist cap side?

Mike
I bought them back in about 2002 from the only people that had them at the Nats($85). I really don't recall if it was Gibson or not. How many people make them? My guess is that there is only one manufacturer?

A few things.
One company makes all the repro wires. Everyone that has them gets them from that company.
Badalson gave this company NOS sets years and years ago to copy for the market. The red boot (and white writing) on the coil (only) wire showed up on some cars and is not the absolute rule. The repops do not have these (sometimes seen - not all originals came that way) markings. I can honestly say I have sets of these wires on cars for over 10 years and they are still looking and working perfectly.

I've sold probably several dozens of sets of the wires and with exception to having had maybe 2 or 3 issues where one or 2 of the wires were the wrong length. but NEVER had one single issue that was quality related

In regards to the red boot and white lettered coil wire, I've brought it up before to no avail.
I know someone who could probably do the red boot , but I have serious doubts enough could be sold to warrent it.

But the only time I personally have ever seen either one was on a 66 Hemi charger that had the red coil boot on the dist end only and a 67 GTX 440 car had the white lettered coil wire(original owner car btw).
Not saying I've seen every unrestored car out there. I just feel they might be in the minorty

I wish my set had been good, but they really were not. They were arching all over the place and when I removed them I found areas that were sort of rotten and breaking apart. I was having some tuning issues so I ran the car with the hood off in the dark and it was like a lightning show. Replaced the wires and the tuning issue went away.

I think you're right. Here's my original. It's marked Electronic Suppression H 1 69 in yellow but it's faint. Black boots. I cannot recall seeing a red boot on any of my 69's?
