I have been doing some comparison of the Centerforce Dual-Friction and the McLeod Street Twin clutches. The McLeod is quite a bit more money but handles more horsepower (as advertised). I have a 340 Challenger and plan on a 600+hp stroker soon.
Do these install about as easy as conventional clutches? Any preferences or tips? Is the McLeod worth the extra money?

With a 600 horse motor, I think it's a borderlined "must."

CF makes a good clutch, but not for a true 600hp race car. 450hp real street/strip terror, no problem.

Remember you don't want to "shock" the suspension in a hi powered stick car. Hard to avoid with the cheaper clucth sets. Not only it make for inconsistent launches, but you'll also find yourself being A LOT harder on the drivetrain.

IMO spring for the real deal right from the jump and never look back. IIRC McLeod has a great rebuild service too.

I forgot... For a serious racer/car there is no comparison here IMHO.

CF makes a good set-up, but it's not even fair in this comparison.

If you want to compare a clutch to the CFDF look at the ZOOM kevlar.

If you want to race a 600hp 4-speed mopar, McLeod.

I have to disagree about the Street-Twin for racing purposes because I tried it.It bites to hard and wont disengage clean enough for powershifting. If you don't plan on racing with good traction or full throttle power shifts then go ahead with the Twin. being a smallblock will kind of limit your choices for a good clutch capable of holding that kind of HP.Give Jamie a call at Passon performance because he can set you up with a Mcleod clutch that will work.
BTW what bellhousing and transmission are you using?because you need to know that for a proper evaluation.

You're right Fourgearsavoy! I didn't pay close enough attention to his thread before I wrote me response.

I was thinking of the soft lock. Never even heard of anyone that has used a street twin.

My opinion = McLeod soft lock

Thanks for the input guys.
Gus' reply will send me back to do a bit more research.
I want a race ready street clutch with a pedal that I can live with on the street and I want to speed shift between gears when I have to.

Soft lock is a race only clutch.
Thanks for the advice.
