I am pulling these manifolds from my '70 Bee. Going with headers. My question is: Are these the original manifolds to my car? 383 #'s matching SPD - 1/19/70

First manifold: drivers side - 2291865-1 (11*24*69)

Second manifold: pass side - 2899879 (1219)?

I am assuming the 11/24/69 is a date and if so, it appears correct for the car. Since the other manifold is in exactly the same condition, I also presume it is original as well... but ?

Now then, if I let these go, will I regret it? Hard to find again? I'll never ever want to reinstall them, but I wonder how important they will be to the next owner of the car... opinions?

ALWAYS keep the original parts from your car.
Even if you never "plan" to sell the car, you will, or a family member will have to do it.
It ads to the value to have those original parts.
Air cleaner, carb, intake , exhaust manifolds etc. should always be kept , even if you don't like them. Someone down the road will want to put the car back correct .

Factory HP logs for B body cars can fetch a good dollar.
Year one sells repros for even more money.
Keep them.If you-or anybody else- ever go back to
stock you will be happy that you did hang onto them.
FYI,the right manifold also fits C body cars,so there is even more demand for that side.
I should know.Every C I seen in a yard that was HP log equipped was raped of its right log to a B body resto..

70 and 71 manifolds (383-440) seem to pull around 4 to 6 hundred a set in good condition. They have the 2 stud holes for the heat sheild.Repops are for 68 -69.only.I just had to replace my drivers side and got lucky and only paid 150 for it.These are HP manifolds.Unless you need the money, keep them.

Unless you transposed some numbers on the driver side, you manifolds are wrong.
Driver side should be #2951865.Passenger side is #2899970.

1970 Chrysler parts manual.

The number that you listed for the driver side beginning with the # 22 would be a 1962 beginning year casting number.

oops. Don't know how that happened. I DID screw the numbers up. The numbers on my drivers manifold are 2951865-1.... so the "9" in the second digit means it is a '69 date code I suppose. I guess these are the originals. I guess everything's got a price. I'm gonna go see how much I can get for them. If it is in the $500 or above range, I just can't justify keeping them. That goes a long way toward a set of TTI's. If it's $250 or so, I think I'll gladly hold onto them.

'70-'71 manifolds usually don't get above $300 on ebay / $250 at shows.

the parts catalog may have the part numbers not the casting numbers

LH - part #2951864 / casting #2951865
RH - part #2899968 / casting #2899879

I'd "assume" the date on your RH manifold is 12/1/69 & both to be original to your car!! (1 week after the LH)

Good "rule of thumb", but there are plenty of exceptions: almost 1000 - 34xx xxx series numbers used in the '69 parts catalog.

just check another casting number source, casting
#2899879 equates to BCE 383 2bbl and 440 LP.#2899970 is listed as 383/440 HP.
