Just interested to find out how many 70 RR coupes with a 383, 4spd w/airgrabber were built?.Or otherwise, the total number of airgrabber cars in 70 RR's.
All I can find on the net is that 5839 coupes w/383 & 4spd were built?.

Also on my build sheet it has "13 OIL UNIT" typed in large black letters in the remarks column at the botom of the sheet, any info on this?

cheers n thanks Dave

You cannot determine a combination of options for a car, so it's only possible to find how many 4-speed 383s were built, or Air Grabber cars, but not both. Anyone who tries to combine options is being statistically misleading.

I have the numbers you seek, but why not give us more info about your car (like color) and then I'll give you more info.

Refers to the installation of an oil pressure gauge and sending unit. Most cars built at the factory were grocery-getters and didn't call for one.

OK, you want answers? I've got answers!

If your car is a US-spec RR coupe, these numbers describe it to a T:

FY1 - 1168 (4th most popular color)
H2X9 - 7642 (most popular by a landslide)
N96 - 2672
N85 - 1508
W23 - 3459

Hope this helps!

Diego, how did you get these numbers? I have been searching for similar info on my 69 GTX convert, and everyone says that it isn't available. FYI it is a triple black 440, console a/t, air grabber WITH hood stripes. Any ideas on this?

I have some reports from Chrysler by option.

I don't know if I have '69 GTX stuff. But I can tell you off the bat that no colors exist for '69s - that started in '70 except for those cars ordered with the buffed silver paint.

Console - 71.3% ~ 393 cars
440 w/ automatic - 65.7% ~ 362
Air Grabber - 29.6% ~ 163
V21 hood stripe - 20.5% ~ 113

You can't cross reference options so there's no way to know how many cars with Air Grabber and hood stripes.

(I'll swap ya for the VIN and SPD info See my signature)

Why don't the figures between Diego (not Ted) and 69CoronetRT add up?

N96 - 2672 vs. Air Grabber - 29.6% ~ 163
