I'm looking at the Wilwood rear disc kit with the drum type internal parking brake but they can't tell me which wheels will and wont fit. The rear rotor is 12.2 inches. The kit number is 140-7144.
I'd like to be able to run the 15" cop or Rally wheels... anyone had any experience with this kit? THANKS !

This isn't super accurate, but there is about 3/8" from the caliper to the wheel and about 1/4" from the caliper to the inner diameter where the hub is welded into the wheel. Should work with a cop wheel as well. Shall I box it up and send it to you?

Does it look like there's room in there for the e-brake cable? What options on your kit? A local vendor told me $600 for the basic kit then upgraded to color choices and drilled/slotted rotors. I've used kits that use the old eldo / gm caliper in the past with unhappy results and am looking for alternatives for my customers.

I mocked up the 15x7 snowflake wheels that came off my 5th avenue on a set of them, and they cleared fine. 15x7 cop wheels should have a little more clearance. I'm running 17x8 OEM mustang bullits on them now and have tons of cleareance.

The E brake cable attaches to the back of the drum assembly and shouldn't get in the way since it comes off at a slight angle. I'm getting ready to put one of these on my 70RR. If we have to re-engineer the e-brake cable setup to clear the tire, we'll have it available. This kit has the drilled/slotted option which adds about a 100 to the price. Sounds like you can buy it locally and save shipping.

I have that kit on my Dart, it has 15 X 8 Welds on it. I also made a bracket to use the stock e-brake cables.

Ralleye wheels usually won't have the same clearance as the steelies or cops do.

I did some brake fitting on the front of my 'Cuda for Viper brakes and the steelies/cops fit while the ralleye's DO NOT!

It has to do with all ralleye centers being the same be it 14" or 15". They have to make the rim to acommodate the centers on the 15" is the best way I can explain it and you give up some room for brake clearance.

How do you like them? What are you running on the fronts and did you just swap the rears or all four at once? How's pedal feel? Thanks !

work good. fronts are stock calipers on 11.75" R body rotors. pedal feel is good. if I had to do it all over again I'd get Dr. Diff's kit that uses mustang parts. I drive the car year round, and the wilwood calipers tend to get a little sticky after a winter of driving. I have to take them apart and clean them good (hit the pistons with some brass wool, etc) in the spring.

I thought only the race versions of the Wilwood calipers dont have dust seals.. what's the problem with the calipers on this kit that makes them so fussy? I had thought about dr. diffs kit but it uses toyota cressida rotors and its as expensive as the wilwood kit. Are the wilwood calipers that troublesome?

probably not for you, but I'm driving in MI winters (:

they have O rings for dust seals....don't keep as much crap out as an OEM style accordian seal.

I have 2 different 10.7" kits. One version costs about the same as Wilwood. The other is $100 less. Both kits include stainless flex lines.

Both kits clear Rallye wheels.
