Are the front brake lines on a '68 A-body the same for both drims & discs? I am changing my 'cuda from manual front drums to manual front discs.

Thanks! The hard lines are what I was concerned about.
How about going to/from the proportioning valve? Do the hard lines fit both the drum and disc proportioning valves? I assume from the response above that they do.

Another question - are the master cylinders the same for manual drum cars and manual disc/drum cars? Some parts places I have looked at list different ones and some list the same MC for both applications.

Erik, not sure about '68, but in '67 they used the prop valve inline between the metering block and rear lines.
Amazing how an unchallenged lie can become the absolute truth.

The disc system I got is actually a '69 setup off of another 'cuda. I only got one metering block in the setup. I think the setup was the same for 68 & 69 - can anyone confirm? If so, am I missing any valve/block?
I thought there was only one metering block on a KH system. I'm not a lot of help here since I switched from 9" drums to Cordoba brakes and a tsm rear disk out back. I left the splitter in place and haven't felt the need for a porp. valve on the rear line since my fronts lock up first. If you got a 69 setup complete I'd install it as is.
BTW you will need new lines between the mc and porp. valve.

Appears to be the same '67-'69, and the B body valve appears to have changed sometime in '67.

You will need the delay valve (pictured above as Compact valve) to complete your job. See it in this picture. Without it your rear brakes will lock up too soon. Pic is of a '69 Dart GTS with manual disc brakes.

I looked yesterday & it turns out I did get both valves so I am all set!
Now to clean them & get them ready.

the valve on the frame is a distribution block , its the same part disc or drum .

you still might have an issue with the rears locking too soon , get a pair of those small rear wheel cylinders that ebooger sells , they will help lessen it .

obviuosly didn't use an original replacement part , i swapped from a drum master to an NOS disc master and used the same lines .
if he is switching from non power to power he will need new lines .

previous owner issues more than likely, there were a lot of things not right with my vert when I got it.
