going to reach them? 1st on my list is to get this converter devel figured out on "La Putita". Once that is done I want to start using the electronics and stop chasing time slips.
For "El Picoso" this year will mark the return of the HOT-ONE my goal with this car is to chase time slips!! LOL
Lastly I would like to start building the B1.

Honestly, I'ld like to not have to wrench on the cars between races. Seems, like every season I've been thrashing just to make the next race.
I haven't given much thought as to what goals I have for my car. Origanly, I wanted to get my conv refreshed and hopefully get it back to running consitant 11.0's. That's pretty much gone out the window now.
I don't have any real changes in store for the 72. I would like to gather some parts to get it street legal but it needs a lot so we'll see how that goes. I would like to see them get it to run in the high 12's on a consitant basis. Not sure if seat time for them is enough though.
I've got a new motor kit to put together for Taylor's Jr. Going from a 2 3/4 x 3" BZ to a 3x3 ZR motor. Probably a little more motor than she needs to run the 8.90 index but (from what little round wins she has) I think she might have a better chance if she is running them down instead of being chased. (I know I'm much better that way)
The biggest goal I have is getting Kaitlin on the track as much as possible. She wont turn 8 yrs old till the middel of Aug and by then the # of TnT's and races are getting slim. She's been chomping at the bit for a couple of years now and I have a feeling I'm really gonna have my hands full with her. I just hope I can keep my cool as she learns.
Other than that, I guess I'ld just like everything to be running the same at the end of the season as they were at the start. If, not maybe a little better.

Our son will have a very busy sports schedule this year but I want to do the Norwalk PinksAllOut and the Norwalk Chrysler classic, and a couple test-n-tunes in the spring. I just want to hang out and race with our buddies, less wrenching!

Esay for us. We are chasing points this year in NHRA Div 7. So our goal is to make all the races, so I am hoping the new tow rig holds up all year as well as the car. Hope we can hold our own with the "big boys" this coming year. First race will be in Phoenix in late Febuary.

Looks like I should have the truck out so goal #1 is to debug and get some quality seat time. . The customer car I have been driveing is getting bumped up to a 632 so we're going to try some NHRA/IHRA div Top/Sportsmn races And by the end of the season have my Austin altered ready and made a few passes.

1. To get the new motor tuned and running well. 2. To NOT break the new motor, or any other parts that will cost me $$$ I don't have. 3. To be moderately successful with some bracket racing (to this point, I've just been running my street car at larger street car events)

Well, I put the dragster back together with a 500 hp pump gas 383...(broke the 496 at the first race of 2008, car has been sitting since), put the Toilet on it...sounds good...now to see if I can get used to looking over my shoulder in a "slow" dragster...in the DFW area most of the dragsters in S/P are now running between 4.50s and 4.80s...should make for some interesting stripe driving going 6.0s or so... ...so I suppose my goal for 2010 is to get the combo sorted out and go a few rounds while making the fast cars crazy...

1.) I'd like to see an 11.99 out of the dart. Got a couple tenths to go, so I'll need to make a change or 2 to get that. 2.) Win Another Championship, Not sure if I'm staying in sportsman or moving up to pro. I know I can be competitive in both, just have to make the choice. 3.) It seems obvious, but have fun, be safe, and keep the car in one piece.

My goal is to first lighten up to at least 3600 race weight. I have glass bumpers already painted silver and hood with raised (4")RO scoop, used magnum force front end (500 miles)with manual rack. Install motor plate, low mount mini alternator. Pull engine out to freshen up,install girdle, maybe change heads and cam, declutter under the hood while the engine is out, fill in holes and repaint car. Check air in tires after I get all that done If all that works out then maybe run some 9's in street trim.

I am hoping to run some 10's with my car. We went 11.18@118mph with the J heads on the engine. To get there I will be losing some weight out of the car. I have ditched the 5.13 gears in favor of some 3.55's. I also have the top end off of Brian's Duster.... If it doesn't run a 10, I am doing something wrong!

1. daughter's 71 dart was suppose to get upgrade from 360 to 408 but with working out of town I have not been able to assemble engine. Car is painted, going to add bumble bee stripe on rear if that is an upgrade. Probably need a new set of slicks half way into season. She wants me to move the tach..since she is shorter then me...LOL
2. 69 Barracuda is not getting painted again, car needs new lexan in it also, so until i can get the windows changed out, no paint going on car. But car will be raced as is.
3. 71 Demon for second daughter has progressed, interior has been cleaned painted carpeted shifter seat and wired. Short block is assemble, eddy magnum heads going to machine shop in the next week or so. Still need to decide on rear gear rato and trans combo. Was hoping to have it running by now but that's life...besides she ran off with her boyfriend to Ohio...LOL

If the car does not sell soon, I will buy a set of belts and slicks and go to a couple races. I will go to the Pinks all out race in Crandall in March, and maybe a couple bracket races. It will be a very limited schedule, no racing for points.

My racing goals are just to get out and have some fun again, building motors and helping out other guys is fun and all but I really got into the technical/building side so I COULD GO OUT AND HAVE MORE FUN!! For the last (too many) years it's beem more about everybody except ME!!
I'm not a self-centered type at all...Lord forgive me if I get the chance to indulge a bit this year
From what I have seen and know of you, it appears that you deserve to get out and have some fun,,just go for it.

Are you talkin' to me?
Not sure I have any race GOALS for 2010. The last couple of years have been so hit-and-miss w/ even getting to the track that planning to race on a regular basis just ends up being a big disappointment.
What I'd LIKE to do is make some of the 75-80 Friday Night 6.50 Index "Nine Inch Nightmare" races, although my car's not runnning quite that quick in the 1/8th at this point. I'd also LIKE to run the RAM Racing N/A Series AMI Index events at Cecil County and MIR, since they're reasonable drives for me to make.
Plans for the car are pretty simple... if I haven't hurt the bottom end of the 452, fabricate a fresh-air pan, get the carb configuration dialed in, and probably some rocker ratio tests. If I can sqeeze another tenth or two out from it, that it'll put it that much closer to being able to run the 6.50 index competitively.
The other plan is to hold off on switching to the Victor heads on the 452 and, instead, use them w/ the new 448 build I'm doing. Unless the 452 is hurt and I don't have another option, I don't see the new engine going into the car this year.
BTW, Happy New Year to everyone!

Not changing much in the car just maintenence, took the car out of the trailer last week, fixed oil filter adapter leak, changed oil, sent spare converter to Ultimate for tuneup, new trans almost done, put trans in with that converter. Was going to put the 4.88s back in but looking at my records they weren`t any better in 60ft than the 4.56s in there now. GOALS: Qualify for the Bracket Finals again and don`t go red first round, Run a few NENDRA races, Maybe a few 11.50 or 12.00 index races, Race my truck at the Chryslers at Carlisle/Quarter Aces race and do better than R/U (08) or semis (09). I already sent the check to the track to pay for my parking space and points signup so I`m raring to go.

My goal for 2010 is to finally put the new 540 bullet in it, hopefully hook it up still... and then run a 9.00001 so that I can agonize over not getting an 8 second pass. Cheers, Arnie

Bolt in the new 572 bullet and chase down that 8 second time slip. Looking forward to a fun 2010 season.

Are you using Moran injectors?
No mechanical injection
That will certainly help with your desire to keep flame free.
