Red paint was brushed on the face of the drums, but not from the lugs inward.
1969 340 4 Speed Swinger R4,

It's NOT red. It's a redish orange. Big difference from standard red paint. Check out the picture at the bottom of this page. This is a 70 but should be the same color as used in 69. https://board.moparts.org/ubbthreads/show...art=13&vc=1

I Just did the drums on the rear of my 69 RR
May not be 100% exactly right color but its close.
