Hey everyone. I'm trying to get my 71 coronet closer to the ground. I want to put drop spindles up front. it has drum brakes all around and a disk brake conversion really isn't in my budget. is it possible to run the stock drum setup on aftermarket spindles? just looking for some direction.

Thanks!!
Greg

I think you can swap everything from a 75-79 Cordoba over. Drop spindles/rotors/calipers and all. Should be able to find a donar car for parts pretty cheap. Maybe one of the experts will chime in for a better info. Like your ride btw

I am real sure there are no drop spindles for Mopar drums. I wish there were as I have the Fatman drop spindles and the Wilwood 12.2" drum front disc brake conversion kit. The Fatman drop spindles and the Magnumforce drop spindles use the later Aspen or Cordoba disc brake caliper mounts which means I need a new caliper bracket or a way to make my drum inner wheel bearing match a Aspen wheel bearing. One wheel bearing is different from the drum spindles to the Aspen spindle so my Wilwood hub will not work with the Fatman or Magnum Force spindles.

I would think that a late B/FJM disc conversion would be cheaper than the drop spindles themselves! I know I've purchased whole cars for less than what the drop spindles go far... and yes, the only two on the market (Fatman and Magnumforce) use the Late B/FJM disc setups. So maybe it makes more sense to do that first and then get the spindles

Like others have said, you can scrounge the complete set up at your local bone yard or just try to talk the owner into selling you the caliper adapters. Sometimes the adapters show up on fleabay after someone does a St.Regis swap on their Diplomat. I pitched mine.
get everything you can so you have cors to get remanned parts.
