Ok im about to mini tub my sons duster, i am doing the usual split the tub and moving it up to the fram rail, NOW when i look at the outer part it has a lot of room to the qtr panel, maybe like 2" is it worth it or has anyone sectioned that outer part ?? Seems like the tire will never get up that far anyway, well at least not with a leaf spring suspension...We are only looking to run a 295 radial but would be nice to fit a 315 in there also...thanks

I know the exact spot you are talking about... I have attached a few pics of my car with a set of 28x13.50 et streets on 12" wheels. im mini tubbed, and springs relocated. I can tell you with confidence that a 295 or 315 is just to tall with out streching the wells. I just ordered a set of 315/60 et street radials, and thats the avenue I have to take to get them to fit.

Yea, i just took the stock wheel tub in. I took the notch where the truck mounts are out and formed a piece of metal to keep it from intruding with the tire...if that makes sense

What did you do with the flange at the top of the rear frame rail?? Cut it off, or bend it up??

I never touched the outer 1/2 of the wheel well. 28 x 11.5" ET Drag fits without a problem.

I stretch my 1971 Duster wheel wells five inches so these tires(315x60x15) would look stock I had the front edge moved forward three ichess and the rear moved back two inches, the rear end center was moved forward one inch also while installing the ladder bar and coil over rear suspension BTW, 10.5x31x15W fit well also
