I still have a set of the now discontinued magnum porting templates
Those, the later swirl port heads, and W series are the only small block templates made. I've never seen or heard of templates for the regualr LA series heads. I believe Mopar quit producing all of the ones they did make several years ago.

Your answer is the exact reason they stopped. They were shooting themselves in the foot financially (and I predict Edelbrock will never sell templates for the same reason. If anyone were to, it would be Summit or something). MP sells hp heads that they have developed ($$$), and they want people to buy heads to help them recover their investment (and heads probably have a higher profit margin anyways). They decided they probably didn't want someone buying a $40 template and DIY, when they could sell you a $400 set of heads instead.

MP's heads were definitely cheaper if you got them bare/unmachined, but I sure don't think it was the cheap templates that kept the heads from flying off the shelf...

I agree 100% but the bare heads left alot to be done as well. and were so ruff.........

I know there are templates available for big block heads, but are there any for the small block? I want to do some porting on my 360 heads, but have never done it before.
I just found the set I used on my 360 "LA" series heads about 8 or 9 years ago & are MP P4876412 "Swirl Port Heads"
PM me if anyone wants a photocopy of the instructions & templates.
Man that was alot of work.

It would be a great service to other Mopar owners if copies of those discontinued intake port templates were posted on Moparts. I would suggest that they be photocopied onto paper with grid lines so that those of us downloading them can copy them into Microsoft 'Paint' and then enlarge or reduce them so that the scale is correct. The green grid line paper like engineering students use. I would be willing to snail mail some money to help with expenses doing this

That would be a great idea, but I don't think it would be very long before Moparts heard from Chrysler LLC, telling them to cease and desist from using Mopar licensed property. Mopar Performance does not want these things to still be available.

Man that was alot of work.
If your going to photocopy, use a color copier (in black/white mode). I've found that the imaging drum from a color copier is more accurate then a typical B/W copier. Also, a simple photocopy cannot be used as a working template. It needs to be rigid. I recommend a plain bond paper, encapsulated/laminated in 20 mil thickness. Do not use cardstock; it will only break apart.
I used this method 7-8 years ago with the BB templates and it works very well. I still have the original kit intact, and worked off the the repro's I made. I don't sell these; they are/were DCC's propriety.
I bought the apparent LAST available SB "308" template kit, out of Texas, IIRC, late spring 2006. I decided not to use it for the 360 project I was doing, but lost the template kit! Actually I don't think I lost it, it just grew legs and walked away. It's gotta be around here somewhere
Just remember when photocoping, the imaging drum will stretch the final copy, so chose your copier carefully. Your water jackets will thank you.
Death or Glory...it's just another story.

Bummer they are gone.
Here's what they looked like. Unlike the big block ones, they were pre-cut. Sorry, I don't have any left, just a picture.
didn't they leave the big block ones like that in case one decided to use the 2.14/1.81 valves?
