hi guys , just curious ! i'm freashing a pair of 452 heads , they have been painted some kind of orange , but where its flaking / chipping off , the original color is a blue metalic , i would say bit darker than B5 , also these heads have a 1 or an I digit cast at the ends , just wonderd what these come off , as never seen that blue color before only on a boat motor

any ideas guys

should be the mopar turqose blue

maybe they were painted before with the dark blue

452 are used on a lot of the later BB engines

my 79 440 has them

All the B and RB production pasenger and truck motors where blue after 1973, maybe even after 1972

452 came out on 75/76, so the original color on these is CORPORATED BLUE ( stock color on ALL Mopars engines since 72 )
