Does anyone know if someone makes the bushing sleeve that goes on the rear bushing on either side. My mechanic damaged mine when removing the old bushings.
Thanks, Rob

I know what your describing, and those are a non serviceable part.
They are not sold, or manufactured that i know of.
But don't worry about it. Those things never get replaced anyway, if they survive the removal in the first place.
I have rebuilt, and sold more control arms than i can remember, and those sleves never get reinstalled anyway.
Most control arms that i have come across in my career, never had them in the first place, taking cars apart that never have been apart before.

Most HP muscle cars did have them on one bushing per side. In fact, American Muscle does indeed repop them. American Muscle also sells the tool to reinstall them...

does anyone even know what they are suppose to do? It sure doesn't seem like they have any purpose, especially since they are only on one bushing per side.

Holy cow.
If that company wants $25.40 for a pair of those things, i'll sell the original poster the two that i took the pictures of for $20.00.
Had no idea they were remade, until now.

Thanks for the info. At least I can get them if I want. I think the purpose was to strengthen a potential stress point during braking. My service manual shows they were used on Road Runners cop cars and taxi cars.

so is it rear or front bush they go on.
i have fitted them to the rear bush on my own car's as i found sometimes that bush has moved about 1/4" out in the arm.
i also made a dvd on how to rebush your control arms that has the rings mentioned in it,hope i got it right. [image][/image]
