disconnect heater hoses
remove radio (makes it easier)
remove ductwork inside off of heater box
pull seats back or out
remove blower motor from under hood
remove nuts on firewall
remove bracket/nut up by glovebox (may need to remove glove box)
drop it down and out
That will get you started

Should slide out but might be a little tight between dash and floor. Just be careful as to not break the studs sticking out of the back of the box. Reinstall in reverse order. I have done it by myself by pushing it up on the inside and catching the bracket by the glovebox to hold it in place until you can climb out and catch the firewall nuts. With the right cuss words it shouldnt be too difficult.

on my 85 truck I had to unbolt the one bolt that holds the dash to the side

then the dash pulled out just enuff to let the box out

may take a look and see if that might work for you also
