The "normal" one for the rear bumper plus a scissor jack for the front due to the nose cone.

A cage in a SuperBird?!? That's AWESOME!
I tend to go against the grain, however if the cage is in there already and done nicely why not just leave it there (assuming it doesn't bother you)?
Sure the purists will probably whine, but it isn't their car.
Nice to see some who still plans to use these cars!

The Passon OD trans is an awesome piece, you'll love it! However, if you still have the original #'s matching trans don't let it go anywhere!

As mentioned there are oline decoders. There are some members that follow these cars quite closely, so if you are willing to post the tag info, they would be happy to sort it all out for you and they would appreciate the info on your car.

Since you are planning other mods, the roll bar is a personal choice. Many of these cars were modified before they even left the showroom, now due to rarity, value and having the restore them after all these years, most return these cars to exact factory appearance. If you plan to drive it and it's in your words nice, I'd suggest leaving it in.

Yes, The aftermarket has a lot of sheetmetal that didn't exist 10 years ago. You can also get an original Coronet hood and use that as a donor for your repairs. Remember that these had an added extension at the front that will need to be repaired and/or blended in.

You can do a search here and learn how any part and company has done over the years.

Nice find,......as far as the cage in the car, if it your "wife's" car, I'm sure she'll have a say as to wether it stays or goes esp if you have to climb over a bar to get in?.......be interesting to see some pics of the "louvered" hood?

I'll assume that asking about the Passon transmission, the car is a 4spd, if so, it should have a dana 60 rear with (if stock) 3:54's or 4:10 gears, the 3:54's aren't bad for cruising, the 4:10's will be street only, as they would be unbearable for highway use, unless you like driving "slow" ,.....the Passon gearbox would be a nice upgrade if the "stock" look is what your after,........but if you like to cruise at speed, and have some serious top end speed, esp if equipped with 4:10's, and want to drasticaly lower the RPM's, and increase the MPG as well, I'd recommend a Keisler TKO 650/600 .64 OD 5 spd,.....that's usually my recommendation, I run one in my Tona' with a 440/6 Pak,450HP with a dana 60/ w 4:10's, and 27" tall tires,.....top speed is just under 150 MPH, at around 5800 RPM, cruising at 80 MPH is around 2200 RPM, fuel economy on long trips avgeraging 80 MPH is approx 20-22 MPG

Hey ramcuda (david) glad to see your back on the site, been awhile now.

Thanks for sending me those pics and john can't wait to work on the car. I'll say to wait awhile for body number posting til we get the car all sorted out and running good again.

The passion is a great conversion and may not modify the floorpan like earlier ones did (thought the rool cage saw to that).

If your looking for some good stuff on the bird, then Mike (dayclona) is your guy as he has those few little things you need that are specific to the car.

The fender tag read posted by Barry (Alaskan_TA) is not to bad as long as your read slow.

We talked about the cage and hood, so you know how I stand on those. If you want to leave the 440-6 out, I do have a nice slant 6, 3spd manual we can put in.

I didn't kow you needed more stuff than we talked about. If you are wondering about rubber/poly on it, wait til greg is done with my rallye charger. It's getting bigger bars, polygraphite, tubular arms, friction pads, HD swaybars, kyb or blisteins and some nice rollers. SO if you and misses D. ant to see if the poly might be too ruff or the rubber is just right, I'll throw you guys the keys & you can take it out for the week when you go to sacramento.

When you get the time, I'll get together and do the pictures, though I'm alittle busy this week with that other readrunner we found in the garage. See ya around.

Congrat's on the SuperBird!

Get it together and take the ride to Talladega Alabama for the Aero Warriors reunion at the end of October!

Post some pics of the hood, you never know if someone out there might trade you for a regular hood if they like yours.

For the rear springs, my nod is ESPO, they have done my last two wing cars leafs. They can adjust the ride height if you want.
