Just curious, as a local has one advertised for sale, as a 73, claiming it came out of an RV.

My 73 winni has a small plugged, 440, so I'm questioning what year it really is.

Thanks

I had a 73 RVI, biult on a 71 chassie, had a 71 style dash, that had a 73 413 in it. There was a blood bath last week about this same topic, most agree 73 for the RV and 78 for the industrial truck. Now does any buddy know any one who will port a set of industrial heads?

It could be a 1973. This site mentions 1976. However, there is a raging debate on this very topic here.....

Thanks for the info guys.

I know my winni is the older style chassis too, so I suppose there would be some that slipped through.

Raging debate ? ..

Motorhomes motors ? ..I know. GRAINtrucks? ..not-so-much

Now on PORTING these heads ? ... forgetaboutit. These are junk heads for an HP combo but for a workhorse ? there is NOTHING better .. but you wanna' uNport the heads !

....to all of U 2 !

But on these heads ? .. I am going to have some WET-flow work done that will enhance low rpm air/fuel mix and swirl. It will actually reduce the higher rpm range of this engine even further.

And since the chambers of these heads are so large - and higher compression and minimum quench are needed ... a set of custom pistons are probably going to be in-the-works to make a premium tow package come together.
