In my never ending quest to find an elusive vibration in my 904 340 72 Cuda, I asked a question a while back about what I should do. Someone recommended I change the driveshaft input spline and bushing in the tailshaft. So I went to Carquest and ordered a kit. Yesterday I went to check it out and I find the kit I have is for a 727, which is way too large. I returned it to CQ with no problem except they don't list a kit for the 904 just the rear seal with no bushing. Can anyone point me in the right direction with CQ or NAPA numbers?

I chased the same thing on my Challenger. I replaced the bearing and bushing in the tail section and still had some vibration. It finally went away when I replaced the driveline. It had some slop in the u-joint fit, but did take care of it. Good luck.

did you put the c-clips on the rear u-joint where it bolts to the pinion yoke? they will center it on the yoke.

Still chasing vibration issues with my Cuda. I took the axle shims out and that helped at moderate speeds but still wobbling at high speed. Next I'm gonna try adding 1/8 or 3/16 shims under trans at the mount.
Look at your u-joint angles, thats where most problems come from. also you may want to get your driveshaft checked for balance.

I had the shaft balanced a month ago after installing new joints. With the driveshaft installed, I can move the slipyoke up and down a little bit. Therefore I thought a new bushing and slipyoke might help.
