I notice you said D100. Did you put a 2wd body on a 4x4 frame? That is what I am doing also since I cannot find a W title. I have talked to quite a few people who said it really doesn't matter anyway. I am also doing the 440 4spd.

Awesome tailgate , you can deffently someone had done a lot of work to it back in the 90s maybe even the late 80s,
Bed wood is soild , rear fenders are not in the best of shape but there still saveable, passenger side bed side is starting to break out around the fenders mounting screws,
also got a nos 78 grill with the truck

This cab had a fuel tank in it once ( I always thought 75 was the last year for fuel tanks in the cab.) the door sticker has defently be removed , has void all over it.
The other thing is when I 1st saw this truck in the mid 80s it had clearence lights, & now theres no holes in the top of the cab.
she looks good in Pictures , but she needs a lot of cab help . the door jams are broken out in the corners, but the rockes are good I guess thats a good start, tomorrow I'm go to weld the cab tank opening close & fix the bottom drivers side cab corner.
Thanks

Duel tank short beds still had a cab tank in some 77's. My 77 swb has a cab tank and bed tank, but best I can figure out east coast 77 trucks used a cab tank and bed tank while west coast dual tanks were both in the bed in 77. That's what I have been able to gather from my research and the trucks I have seen.

Looking back on my post I just realized that I forgot to mention that this truck is a march built 78.

I found it kind of curious that my 77 W200 had a cab tank when I bought it as well.It was a local garages' tow truck when I bought it. Has the PTO off the t-case with a shaft that runs back the DS of the frame to run the winch in the bed.Don't know if it ever had a frame tank. Was a farm truck when new.
