Sneak peek of what it looks like on the passenger side with the fender bolted on.

One thing I've learned in all of this is that it's much easier to work on the engine/transmission/engine compartment with the drivers fender and hood hinge OFF!

I need to figure out what rear tires to go with. I really like the look of the pie-cut slicks but they're kinda pricey. Besides I like to drive my cars a LOT. Most of the D.O.T. street slicks have a modern tread design that doesn't look right on the old cars IMO.

It's looking GREAT!!! If you were to ask me, I'd say leave it in primer! I share the opinion that they are a good way to kill an otherwise cool MoPar!

Haven't got a lot done lately.

I've been busy with christmas programs for the kids and running them around.

Polished all 4 hubcaps:

(probably won't use but it was hanging there needing attention.)

We have seats!

They're not nearly as glossy as the pics show. The flash causes that for some reason.

Rear seat done to match fronts:

It may not be an original pattern but I wanted A-100 seats in the car and to have a back seat too. He did a great job of matching the pattern from A-100's to the rear!

I was going to suggest the M/T Indy Profile or those "I" pattern tires for the rear, but they don't make them anymore. They aren't a 60's tire, but they aren't a new tire either.

Hoosier makes a decent looking pro street radial, but I don't know if they are narrow enough to fit. If you don't drive in the rain the Hoosier quick time or quick time pro tires are a good choice. They are pretty sticky, even on the street.

I may end up with a pair of American Racer tires.

They used to be McCreary's.

I'm going to go down Monday and see what the total punchout is for a pair.

Tinkering with small stuff like trim and headlights since it's not quite warm enough to finish off the other hood and front fender.

Restored headlight housing:

REALLY crusty and rusty before.

The car is coming along very nicely. I like your style, and always loved the red interior in the early B bodies. I'm wondering if your dog dish caps will fit on those Summit wheels?? The caps are 10" and usually it takes a early B wheel or something pre 66 to use those caps. Most steelies out there only accept a 9" cap. Either way, Im really digging the ride - keep up the good work

Yep, they'll fit but I'm probably not going to put them on.

I epoxied some later model small caps inside of the early big caps to get them to work.

Driveshaft, radiator, fan, and plug wires and she'll be ready to fire!

I can get the American Racer's at a reduced cost from a local guy that races them. Last pair I got was $20 apiece and 3/4 tread!

I went by about 2 months ago and he was supposed to scare some up for me but I need to follow up.

No idea on the year of the seats. The small family salvage knew I wanted them and had them waiting on me when I got there. Paid $80 but they were in pretty sad shape.

Okay, been a while since I posted any progress, but I've been working on the steering wheel. Whew, shoulda got pics of it before but there were more cracks than I thought possible. The top portion of the wheel was so cracked it was spinning on the steel core!

I took an angle grinder with a cutoff wheel to clean out all the cracks (gulp!) and make them bigger. Then I applied a liberal dose of PC-7 Epoxy. This stuff is awesome! After that I got bummed and put it away for the winter because it was taking too long to make it look purty. I took up the cause again this spring and here are the results.

Orignal teal green wheel that I should've thrown away!
