At least you didn't blow the motor on a red.

That had to hurt (red light). The way I think of it, the race is over as soon as somebody red lights (that is why if the second racer red lights or breaks out it doesn't matter).

We were just talking at our track last night, any light beats a red light (some of us were red lighting too often...)

Manny's light was -.005. Not exactly a blatant foul.

Steve Alford is not a duck either.

And these guys were feetsbraking. No electronics at all.

I was stanging at the starting line when this happened. It was the craziest thing that I had seen in a very long time. Steve Alford actually was trying to rock his car into the stage beam while trying to get it started. Then as soon as he got it fired it jumped out 3 feet and that was it. Talked to Manny after this and he said he was so focused he didnt know what happened until after his foul. Manny was killer all day and flirting with the red bulb. Just an inoppertune time to turn it red.

He might have been dialed faster then you?? I think I heard 5.8x? He lifted soon as he saw red..

and of course there are always exceptions. My buddy redlit in Top Sportsman against Ronnie Davis who was dialed 6.54. Ronnie never saw red ran it out got squirly and crossed the centerline giving the win back to Mike Thompson!!

My buddy Rick Baehr won Friday night!
I saw a guy run out during the semis of a 5K race at Norwalk. He'd been racing over 20 years and never had it happen. Unfortunately for him, it happened right after his burnout.

I saw a buddy of mine do it the day he wore his "I'd rather push my Ford than drive a Chevy" shirt. Ran out on the burnout. We were a big hit pushing his Falcon back to the pits.

you all need power adders to go fast, NOS, Turbo's,blowers, etc.
i like natural aspirated, the real way to go fast,
anything else is just cheatin imo.
if i put a turbo on mine, i wonder how fast i'd go.

I was at a Ten-grander one weekend, made it down to 3 cars, didn't get the bye, another dragster beside me got it...he pulled into the water, hit it and blew the coupler, rear seal and damaged the shorty plate on the transmission, me and the other guy ran...I was .007 on the tree to his .028...pedaled him too hard and gave the stripe back .002 ...bottom line was they couldn't get the broken car fixed and the guy that beat me byed in the final...the guy with the broken car was......but he still got runner-up money without even staging...thanks to my hard driving at the stripe I got semi-money...nice...real nice...

A turbo on your car would make so much power you would probably be afraid to drive it.

I like (and own) NA cars too, but you are severely tunnel visioned if you can't see the appeal of a turbo motor.
