I had an Innovate LM1 which seemed to work OK but I no longer need data logging capabilities. I would just like a real-time A/F gauge in the dash.

I see a couple for sale around $200-$250. AEM and the Innovate LC1.

Any recomendation for one? Are there any others offered?

I have an innovate LC-1 with an analog in-dash gauge. You should be able to just buy the gauge for $60 or so and hook it up to a spare output on your LM-1 unit, and just tuck the LM-1 unit in your glove box, under the dash, whatever. Other option would be to sell the LM-1 unit and buy a wideband LC-1 controller. You don't need to buy a kit with an o2 sensor because you have one already.

I no longer have the LM-1. Sold it with the car.

The FAST unit looks like the cheapest option, not sure if I want digital or analog though.....

What size is the face of the gauge? Is the gauge lighted?

WHY is the wide-band system so much more than the std-band?

hi
with these gauges, do you have to drill/weld into the header, or can you do it at the other side of the collector flange? I ask because that side is removable from the car, which would make it much easier to do the welding.

The O2 sensor requires a bung be welded after the collector but before the muffler. Installation in the removable exhaust pipe is fine.

The O2 harness is 6' long.

The FAST unit is a 2 1/16" gauge with a Bosch wide-band oxygen sensor. It's Back-lit for night viewing and wired so it is powered up whenever the engine is running. Kit includes gauge, module, harness, sensor and bung.

All wide band units are more expensive because they read actual A/F ratio. The standard O2 sensors are not really sensors, but more like a switch that switches around Stoic.

Narrow band sensors are basically useless. They'll tell you if you're richer than 14.7:1 or leaner than 14.7:1 but they do NOT tell you by how much. Only real use is when you have an efi computer running them.

This is the one I bought. Looks at home with any other old school type gauges but I don't know why I bought this instead of a full-sweep analog gauge.

I gotta say I am digging the AEM one.

I like the digital readout with an "analog-ish" pointer along the circumference. Best of both worlds.

Anybody have one?
