This subject often leads to heated debate, the stock tapered bearing is superior to the Green bearing but many use the Greens because they're too lazy to learn how to adjust the tapered bearings. (flame suit on)

Forum member Doctor Diff has both.

I learned what he said the hard way.

Bought all new stuff from Dr. Diff, gave it all to the guy rebuilding my Dana.

When I pick it up he says, "I had to put green bearings in, the factory stuff is too difficult"

Anyone want to buy a set of axle bearing & adjusters cheap?

Unless you are running a spool Greens shouldn't be anything but a last resort .

Ain't that the truth? and the thing oncee they are adjusted it isn't something that has to be repeated in the forseeable future.
Why do you want to change bearings? If they aren't galled or pitted clean them up and pack them with a good wheel bearing compatable grease, install new inner axle seals, put the axles in, adjust the endp play and button it up. http://www.moparts.org/Tech/Archive/axle/12.html
