Whats your opinion on installing the inner headlight bezel on the Charger? You know that molded ABS with the design of the grill on it that stays stationary when the headlight doors open.

Anyone have pics?

Is it pointless to put them on?

I like them. They are a 68 item, however the bolt right up to a 69 as well and i think they look much better with them installed

I have a 68 and just finished fixing it after a major front end hit, I have the covers, but i'm considering NOT putting them back on. since I restored the grille, it all looks so nice in there and nobody will EVER see them since they only are visible with headlights on.

That was my consensus as well....I am just trying to avoid a situation is all. I dont plan on driving in the rain but since I am upgrading to the H4 Angel Eyes and the ballasts have to get mounted somewhere. I figured I could mount them behind the headlight buckets and the grille inserts I mentioned might keep some rain water out.

Hummm...I still don't have mu headlight buckets in yet... I was thinking of using the pass side like a ram air. drop the high beam out and run a cold air duct right to the 6-pack.

but when you want the cold air you have to raise the headlight door which means your headlights will be on (even in the daytime) unless you hook up a relay to have the doors open up from the electric motor on a separate circuit.

I miss the electric motor from my 70. Both doors would open up at the same time but with my 69...she winks one at a time opening and closing....bit of personality for all the pretty ladies out there...(even with a vacuum assist motor)

I'll pull the bar and leave the one door open. Just for the track...not for daily driving.

I`ll try and get the wife to take a pic. Her camera is a whole lot better than mine.
