I've heard cars with glasspacks for resonators

that'll probably be my choice, some with the louvers punchedtoward the outside as to not restrict flow and no necked down connectors at the ends

Here is the mockup of what I'm gonna try on my Interceptor for resonators.....

Just figure I'd give my opinion even though I think I'm out numbered. I ran 40 Series Flowmasters on a 340 small block .60 over with 360 J heads 2.02/1.60 3 angle valve job, .528 solid lift cam, Harland Sharp 1.6 ratio rockers.

40 series flowmasters with Hooker competition headers, 2.5" with x-pipe.

I love the sound of a small block that screams and I'm more into loud cars. The thing I loved most about the car was when you would gradually press down on the gas and the cam would hit it's power band because it sounded like the car was turning into a monster.

I have a buddy with a 440 that is built up pretty good. Just updated to a 440 source cam and head package. He ran Hooker headers 3" pipe with x-pipe and 40 series flowmasters. I will be honest I don't like the way it sound on a big block for some reason.

Anyone run the super 40's or super 44's?

Had Summit race headers 2.5" pipe with x-pipe and super 44's on my 88 power wagon. It was only a 318 so it's hard to get any sound out of it.

I run the Flowmaster Super 40's on my cuda. 2 1/2" with hooker headers, comp XE268 cam and I love the sound. Couldn't be happier.

I have 50 flows on 2 cars (1 BB,1 SB),they seem to like the x-pipe rather than the h-pipe(w/full tail pipes) as far as resonance go's.If you really want resonance try running 40 flows w/ no resonators on the new LX chargers ,I ended up putting a glass pack reso kit on ,now its fine. That being said every car I own has a set of flows on it(except the/6).It all comes down to personal preference, run what ever sounds good to you ,D.

40 series Flowmasters on 2 1/2" pipes with no crossover coming off my 340 with a comp XE274.

If it's too loud, you're too old.
