About ready to put a 4 brl on a stock '70 318 and have hit an issue. From what I can gather, the intake port dimensions on a 318 2 brl head are about .97 x 1.95. I've got a really nice ld4b but it looks to have been gasket matched at some point. Port height is no problem but the width is a whopping 1.08 on a couple of the ports. Is this going to cause a big issue, the old slamming the bigger hose into the smaller? Or is a .13 difference not something I should worry about? Carb will be a '70 AVS if that makes any difference. Any and all advice appreciated. Thanks

Use a good composite gasket and be happy. May have trouble sealing the tin type gasket. Good manifold.

Not ideal but for a stock setup such as yours if you can get the right gasket for it to seal you'll be OK

I just put that manifold on my stock 70, 318, I used a composite gasket and a good RTV sealer. My ports where smaller that the manifold as well. Sorry, I didn’t measure mine though. It works great and has tons of power now. On a stock motor, it should be no problem.

not a big deal on the stock heads of a 318

I have run many 360 intakes on the 318 heads

you will notice nothing in performance other than a boost from a 4=v on it

I run a LD4B on my 360 headed 318 and works fine, lots of torque and throttle responce

mpgs ar not that bad either

I use a felpro gasket #1213 IIRC

Thanks guys. Nice to know I don't have to hunt down another intake I can afford.
