I received a valvebody with an unknown shiftkit.

I first thought it's a TF-2 but it doesn't have the stronger pressure regulator spring. BUT what I could see:

The throttle piston was cut down as on the TF-2 kit and also the spring is different. I set the endplay as written in the old TF-2 instructions with the big drill bit between cam lever and stop.

The 1-2 shift passage has the big drill hole and the ball is missing, both like on the TF-2 kit.

BUT the rest seems to be original and as said, the pressure regulator spring SEEMS to be original.

Now my question: is that a TF-1 kit? If yes, anyone got the instructions or what line pressure settings should I use here? Factory settings?

thank you

sounds a lot like a TF1 if so the kit came with a cardboard templet you use to set the pressure with.

IF the template is the same as the TF-2... I set the pressure now the same as STOCK and throttle as per the old TF-2 instructions with the drill bit, since it has the stock pressure regulator spring.. I hope that works...

I just found my old TF2 instructions. There the TF1 kit is also covered:

http://www.mopar.ch.vu/bilder_public/TF2/TF2_old_instructions.pdf

The stock PR spring is used, setting is set as stock BUT the throttle valve is only cut on TF2 and it's spring is pink or yellow. In my VB the throttle valve is cut like on TF2 and the spring was silver/chrom. And it also writes to leave the 1-2 shift ball out on only TF2 kits. On mine that ball is missing.
I also got no hole in the line pressure limit ball and the spring looked to be original.
So I GUESS someone here didn't do his homework when installing the TF1 kit OR this is another kit that is similiar to the TFx kits...
