Anyone have some pictures of how the vent tube lines in the trunk are routed to the gas tank ? There are 5 lines coming out of the tube, 4 lines coming out of the front of the tank, and 2 lines coming out the drivers side of the tank.
I know the big line on the drivers side of tank goes to the fuel pump, but not sure where the other line goes? I didnt run a vent line to the engine compartment. Not sure if I need one ? Are the lines going from the vent tube to the tank supposed to be rubber or metal ? Thanks

Three steel lines run to the front of the car. One for the fuel pump, one for a return coming from the fuel separator on the engine/fuel pump to the sending unit and the vent line that goes from the rear vapor separator to the engine compartment and attaches to the breather cap in the valve cover.

Nice car! I'm not trying to put everything back to factory specs, Just want to make sure the tank is vented along with anything else that needs it. Engine is a 416 on pump gas.

Ok, (bare with me) The way I understand this is I'll need 2 more lines going to the front, one coming from the sending unit that goes to fuel separator. Is the separator a vented fuel filter ? The 2nd line goes from the rear vapor separator (pic in my first post) to the breather cap in the vc ? I dont remember this line and is it necessary ? Is it a vent for the vc ?
So the 4 lines in the front of the tank go to the rear separator in any particular order ?

Only the performance engines got the vapor separator at the fuel pump, but if you want reliabilty out of your fuel system then I highly recomend a return line coming from the fuel pump.It can be used with the stock pump or a electric pump. I believe the stock vapor separator is setup different than a fuel filter with a third nipple on it.
The proper way to vent the fuel tank is to run the vent line up to the breather on the valve cover. The vent lines from the gas tank hookup to the rear vapor separator just like they are layed out.

Here's a picture before the vent line was in place or the rock shield.

What size is the fuel return line ? 1/4" ? Is the vapor seperator line 5/16" ? In the first picture I posted is the vapor seperator mounted in the trunk. The line at the top of the picture is towards the front of the car and the line at the bottom is towards the trunk of the car. Is the front vent line the one that goes to the engine compartment ? Anyone have pics of this routing besides the ones that are already posted ? This is for '71 with the 4 vent lines coming out of the front of the tank. Thanks
