Original number is 3488477.

Most likely 3488478 on the tag.

Superceded by 3488805.

wondering if the RIGHT unit with thin hazzard knob and turning on by push in instead pull out like laters is available. I have found the new pieces made are the later kind, and nothing like the 70/ first half 71 kind

This PN is with cornering lights and is the later kind... won't fit correctly on push in hazzard kind setup what as far I know is 70 and firts 71 half... just by the thick of hazzard knob. maybe trimming will fit and of course would get the reveresed ON operation

without cornering light, ends on 04 on PN

note the right one on MOST earliers setup ( it does appear diff PN on box ):

this is still pull out ON function

maybe the 3488477 PN is with the push in ON function

here is the later one with cornering lights with 3488805 PN

note the diff on hazzard knob

this is the new one available ( non Mopar )... note the horn switch is not anymore a roller to roll againts the horn track on wheel/adapter, now is really simply a brass stud. Later hazzard button kind

New Mopar part, with cornering light ( new 3488805 piece made ) is with same horn switch kind than the one above( not anymore a roller )

everyone without tilt wheel

On e-bodies, I never heard of pushing IN to get the Hazards to work?!?!?!

BTW, what do you mean by "cornering lights"???

ALso, on the new ones, what's the extra wiring harness for?

the extra harness is for the cornering lights. is an extra lightning for C bodies, not used on the rest of assemblies.

70 and firts 71s Chargers used push in Hazzards I thoght Cudas/Challyes were the same since they shared LOT of parts

the diff between 04 and 05 is just the extra harness to cornering lamps.

now, would need to confirm the knob size.

this pictured one

is supposelly correct for 70 and maybe 71s ? Maybe first 71 half ? on ebay it was on $500

knob is diff thick

Here are few pictures of a 3488477 1971 turn signal switch that was used on all non-tilt steering wheel Chrysler cars.
Notice that it has the cornering lights harness. This was taped out of the way on cars that did not have cornering lights.

amazing all the diff info and kind of switches, but basically the same

3488805 the same than 3488477, however newer pieces are without roller on horn switch stud.

then 3488804 is the same without cornering lamp harness.

But if E bodies doesn't have cornering lamps should use 3488804... right ?

then we have 2947905... right piece to 70 E body, maybe also first 71 half

then I have in B bodies the same than 2947905 but with PUSH IN to knob ON... maybe 2947503 ?

If you have a key light like the one below, you need a 2947905 turn signal switch. If you don't, you need the 3488477 or 3488804-5 switch.

GREAT INFO!!! thanks.

My car does have whoever the key courtesy light, diff than that one, but steering collar have a cutout for that. I mounted recently. It had before a plastic plug to fill the cutout bolted at same point. Removed the plug and fit the light.

of course we are talking about diff years and bodies, but trying to make a further info research, about what and where was used that or this setup
