Does anybody know the Lady's name that restores woodgrain steering wheels in upper state NY?

I gotta agree, wish they had this back when... I paid good money to have mine restored about 5 years ago.. Cracking again

Not bad but I can feel the line where the fracture has started and it ain't gonna get better

From what I have heard the repo's don't have a org looking woodgrain pattern or texture If I had to have a wheel restored I personally would check with member plumbeeper. His wheels look very correct and prices on the web site are reasonable. Check www.rimblowsteeringwheels.com

Even a perfectly restored wheel won't look original anyways, they are only original once. From an economic standpoint, I would buy a new wheel.

If it's perfectly restored it WILL look original.

No one can restore a wood grain wheel back to original condition!!! Here is a 2300 mile wheel out of a Hemi Charger. Unless someone has the equipment that was used to photo etch the grain into the plastic rim just like this you'll have to chose the rendition you like best from the available Steering Wheel Guys.

I agree, nothing can be brought back to original. But if resored PERFECTLY, it will LOOK original.

Even the NOS wheels are not perfect. Just like everything made in mass production, there will be blemishes and defects that were passed on or just wear from time. Restorations are done by people, by hand not machine so there will be some differences in appearance when you compare to the originals or to each individual restorer. We try to get the woodgrain as near the original appearance as we humanly can and do it in a timely fashion. Here's the last 70 B-body wheel we finished. It's not "perfect" but then again, where will you find one that is?
