I thought I might go ahead and show my 71 Challenger during its restoration (its a real backyard restoration) up here for all of you guys to see, I bought this car in 2007 in South Carolina when I was 15 and its currently a 318/727 auto with 340 heads 4bbl carb. Its mostly standard, was a vinyl top car so it has window channel rust, was B5 with blue interior but someone changed it to a black 70 SE interior and put the wrong bucket seats in there. Its an ongoing project so if you guys see anything wrong just let me know so I can fix it. I know you guys like pictures so I will post a lot. Plans include B5 w/ black interior luggage rack, SE window, black vinyl top, overhead console, and 383

Its a father and son project and money is real tight. I would like to get this project done for my senior prom in 2010. Any donations would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Chris

Goodluck on the project, i know how building a car on a tight budget goes. Hopefully you reach your deadline in time, my prom just passed a few days ago and my car wasnt done sadly, doubt it will be done for graduation either. Just keep working at it and im sure you'll have it done in time.

Chris. I just noticed your name was chris....man there are too many of us.

Hey Chris,
Glad to see you made it over from cuda-challenger. My senior prom is in 2010 too. I've pretty much came to the conclusion I won't be driving my Charger to it like I've been wanting to for years However, atleast I'll be able to drive my Duster there

Yeah Cody I actually had a long conversation with a guy in Ocean City who had a nice 71 w/ the M28 option and he mentioned moparts so I thought I should post a little something. I am hoping that the challenger will be done by then, I know it should be painted and running by the end of this summer. I know that I have been watching the progress on your Charger since before I bought my Challenger. Keep at it, that thing will be a beast when its done, I still want a '68 Charger like the one in bullett.

Looks like a good car to start a project with It looks like they swapped the dashpad off of the 70 SE also. Be sure to check your VIN plate to see if they were smart enough to put the one off your 71 back onto the 70 pad when they put it in. I'll look around and see if I've got any parts I could contribute
