In the Moparts Tech Archive titled "Awesome ECU wire diagram" the diagram shows a 2 prong resistor. The new resistor I got from the parts store for my '73 440 with electronic ignition has 4 prongs. The maintenande manual I have shows the 4 prong to be correct aas well. Can you tell me how the wiring diagram would change for the 4 prong resistor or should I use a two prong resistor or can I use only two of the 4 prongs, if so, which ones? Any help you can give me so as not to burn up the ECU.
Thanks!
Brcue

The early mopar ecu's had 5 pins in the connector the mopar performance and late ecu's have 4 pins. If you have all the wiring for the ballast with 4 terminals it will work just fine with either ecu. The extra resistive elment in the ballast and the extra wire in the connector to the ecu is just not used.

Dave,
I don't have any wiring I'm starting the wiring from scratch. The tech article shows the wiring using a 2 prong resistor. How would it change with a 4 prong resistor? Other options?

Here's the 5-pin schematic:
